Updates and Apologies

This post is for Mike A. and all the other folks who have been waiting so patiently for me to complete their orders.

First, let me say thank you for all of your patience and understanding. Second, let me apologize for the many delays in getting your orders completed. The truth is, I vastly underestimated the hit to my productivity after I moved to Europe. In addition to losing several months just trying to set up a shop, and having to get by with very limited tools and machinery, the transition to life in a new country has also placed additional significant demands on my time. I suppose I should have expected this, but ever the optimist, I thought it might be a little easier than it turned out to be.

Nevertheless, I continue to work hard to get done all the things I need to get done, and if you’re wondering how things are looking on my workbench right now, here are a few pictures I took last night.

All three blades are now forged, ground, heat treated, tested, and mostly polished. Handles and guards will be the next step and hopefully I’ll be showing off the completed knives here before too much longer, along with a few more that are also still on the ┬ábench.

And if you need to contact me for any reason, even just to bust my chops a bit, please don’t hesitate to do so.
